Cortijo Don Cristóbal is located in the epicentre of ancient Andalusia. It's just 45 minutes from the airport and Málaga's vibrant centre, harbour, museums and beaches, but also directly central between Cordoba, Sevilla and Granada.
The villa overlooks the Sierras, with Antequera at their base. Dating back to the Neolithic period, bronze age man created Europe's largest constructions here (The Dolmones), overlooking the sacred rock 'La Peña de los Enamorados' (lover's rock).
After the Phoenicians came the Romans, building the city and its baths (still visible) and giving it its name. In the 8th century, a 700 year long Arabic emirate was established and Antequera's centre is still set within the Arabic Citadel, where around it lie the richest concentration of spectacular Cathedrals and churches in Spain.
